E2 Visas – Texas a Top Business Location

By Isaul Verdin, VERDIN Founder and Managing Partner
America is a big place! As foreign investors and entrepreneurs evaluate where to locate their business operations, they should become familiar with Office of Immigration Statistics (OIS) at https://www.dhs.gov/immigration-statistics. This office publishes some key data that can aid foreign entrepreneurs in deciding on a strategic destination for their business operations.
Last month in December 2016, OIS published its numbers for Year 2015, and the results are interesting.
As expected, however, the four top destinations coincide with the top four most populous states. Here is the most current list:
State | Number of E2 visas issued | Est. State Population | Advantage Points |
California | 39,783 | 39million + | Nice weather |
Florida | 35,580 | 20million+ | Nice Weather; No State Income Tax |
New York | 33,349 | 19million+ | Multicultural Center |
Texas | 27,470 | 27million+ | No State Income Tax; Lower real estate costs. |
